A cabin case you wear on your back

easyJet includes a 45 x 36 x 20 cm bag with every fare, to go under the seat in front. It is the most generous free allowance among the budget carriers, and this model is drawn to it. Thirty litres covers a week for most travellers.

The most generous free allowance

45 x 36 x 20 cm is considerably more than Ryanair’s 40 x 30 x 20 cm. On easyJet this pack flies with no extra to pay; on other airlines it falls into the cabin bag category, overhead or under-seat depending on the fare you booked.

Real volume that stays organised

Thirty litres turns into a jumble the moment everything goes in through the top. The 180° opening and the compression strap keep things in layers: clothes on one side, the day’s essentials in the quick pockets.

The details that matter in transit

There is also a Premium version, with a reinforced base and a dressier finish.

03

A USB port to charge as you walk

A USB pass-through runs through the bag and connects to your own power bank, kept in an inside pocket. No more cable dangling between bag and pocket. The battery is not supplied, and it must stay in the cabin with you, never in the hold.

04

A separate laptop compartment

The laptop travels in its own compartment against your back, with pockets for the charger, cables and pens. It comes out on its own at security, without unpacking the rest.

05

A back pocket nobody can reach

Flat against your back, this pocket stays out of reach while the bag is on your shoulders. It is the obvious place for a passport, a phone or boarding passes on a crowded train.

06

A strap for your suitcase handle

A strap crosses the back of the bag and slides over the telescopic handle of a wheeled case. The bag stays put and your hands stay free in the terminal.

What the airlines allow

45 x 36 x 20 cm is the under-seat bag included with every easyJet fare. Elsewhere it counts as a cabin bag.

How to use it

Spreading the load properly

This is the heaviest size in the range, so carrying it well matters most here. Put the weight against your back and low down, adjust the straps so the bag rides high, and clip the chest strap before any long walk.

heather grey

This colour, and the others

A heather grey whose weave breaks up the flat surface, so signs of use show less than on a smooth fabric.

Common questions

Before ordering, check the size, the colour, the seller and the delivery and returns terms shown on the retailer’s page.

Is 45 x 36 x 20 free on easyJet?

It is the size of the bag that goes under the seat, included with every easyJet fare. On Ryanair or Wizz Air it travels as cabin baggage and needs the matching extra.

How many days does it hold?

Four to six days for most travellers, and up to a week in summer with light clothes.

Is it too big for Ryanair?

For the free bag, yes: Ryanair stops at 40 x 30 x 20 cm. If you mostly fly Ryanair or Jet2, look at the 24 L in the same range, which matches that allowance exactly.

Is it comfortable when full?

The back panel is padded and ventilated, the straps are wide and adjustable, and a chest strap takes part of the load. At thirty litres, strap adjustment makes the difference.

Can it ride on a suitcase?

Yes, a rear strap slides over the telescopic handle of a wheeled case, so you are not carrying it through the terminal.

Spacious and well organised cabin bag

This backpack makes excellent use of the permitted cabin-bag dimensions and holds much more than it initially appears to. The separate compartments help keep clothing, toiletries and electronics organised, while the compression straps reduce bulk. It is comfortable enough to carry, although it becomes quite heavy when packed completely full. A practical choice for short trips.
