Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from X Pro S?

X Max S reaches 1,000W and claims up to 30km, versus 800W and 17.5km for X Pro S. Both offer ten modes and a claimed 0.31-second response.

Is 30km available in every mode?

No. The maximum comes from continuous Eco-mode testing at low assistance. Hyper mode, gradients, payload and temperature reduce range.

Can it be used in rain?

IP54 covers water splashes and dust under test conditions, not immersion. Protection may decrease with wear.

Power, range and response time are figures published by Hypershell from controlled tests. Real results depend on terrain, load, pace and settings.

What Hypershell users say

These authentic reviews were originally published for previous Hypershell X models. They describe the range experience and are not a model-specific rating; performance may vary by model, terrain and user.

Heavy motor on waistband

Helped a great deal with my arthritic knees, to walk further and go up and down stairs.Unfortunately the motor was too heavy on my arthritic hips and bottom of my spine, for me to wear for very long.I look forward to a lighter frame with the motor placed on the side of the knees.

Good...but a lot of compromise. Could be worse, but could be so much better

Would be awesome but several problems arose....difficult to get securely on my back without a lot of faff, almost impossible to remove the battery (charging has to be done in the pack only)The qr code is the old app for me but Google play has it.Once set up takes place on your phone and is easily completed (takes some time to self adjust)The AI really isnt. I thought it was adaptive reaction but needs to be connected to you phone by Bluetooth and GPS...Tip, try to set up the legs before fitting the pack to ensure the assistance works bestWILL NOT SUPPORT YOU IN ANY WAY ITS DESIGNED TO ASSIST YOU AND CAN HELP YOU RECOVER IF MOBILITY IS IMPAIRED
