Does the water tank need frequent emptying?
In cooling mode, self-evaporation removes most condensate through the exhaust hose. Manual draining may still be needed in dehumidifier mode or in very humid conditions.
How can you reduce noise at night?
Use sleep mode and a lower fan speed once the target temperature is reached. Like any single-hose portable air conditioner, it remains audible; 65 dB is the quoted maximum level.
